Laser Hair Reduction
Unwanted hair is traditionally removed through waxing, shaving, tweezing, electrolysis, or use of chemical creams. However, all these methods usually produce temporary results. Laser reduction treatment has the ability to result in permanent hair reduction.
The beam of light generated by the laser is specifically designed to be absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The darker the hair, the better the light can be absorbed. As the laser light is absorbed, energy is transferred to the hair follicle, resulting in permanent damage. Each hair grows in a cycle, with a new one being “born” in the follicle after the old one falls out or is removed. Multiple treatments will often be needed to achieve permanent hair reduction, since all hair follicles are in different phases of their growth cycle at any given time, and therefore become vulnerable at different times.
