About Medical Weight Loss
Medical weight loss is a way for our patients to lose weight under the supervision and support of our Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Laura Vasquez, as well as our other medical professionals. We offer multiple treatments to help our patients lose weight, manage their diabetes, increase metabolic activity, and even correct vitamin and nutrient deficiencies.
Weight Loss Medications
We offer medically managed weight loss options that will improve your overall metabolic activity and health goals. These medications are approved for patients with at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, and more. (2) These medications work by imitating specific hormones to help regulate feelings of satiety and hunger, allowing patients more control over their weight and blood sugar.
Semaglutide is an injectable medication that is considered a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist, meaning it mimics the GLP-1 hormone to help increase the body’s insulin level, regulating appetite and managing blood sugar levels.
Tirzepatide is a dual GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptor antagonist, meaning that this treatment is effective on two hormonal pathways. (3)
We will determine which medication is appropriate for you. These prescriptions will be ordered through the manufacturer and sent directly to your home. GLP-1 medications may be covered through your insurance; if not, you may pay for them out of pocket.
B12 and Lipo-Lean Injections
Our B12 and Lipo-Lean injections are designed to help patients increase the metabolization of fat cells while also providing a boost to their daily energy and performance.
Our B12 injectable is a direct supply of vitamin B12, an essential vitamin that helps with brain function, energy production, and even the formation of red blood cells. Oftentimes, patients who undergo weight loss surgery have low B12 levels, which can cause fatigue. This medication can be used to help boost energy levels, supplement and correct deficiencies, and increase metabolic support. These injections are included in your monthly visits as part of your weight loss package.
Lipo-Lean injections are a treatment that helps promote faster metabolization of fat cells in the body. These injections contain amino acids, vitamins, and other ingredients to help enhance the function of the liver and support weight loss. Our lipo-lean injections may be added to your treatment regimen for an additional fee.

Candidates
Candidates interested in our Monarch wellness program are those interested in managing and losing weight through nonsurgical means. Patients struggling with obesity or patients who have found little success with dieting and exercise are recommended for these treatments. Individuals diagnosed with or experiencing weight-related health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, or even high cholesterol may also benefit from these treatments.
All candidates interested in our weight loss treatments should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations regarding the outcome of their treatment.
Personal Consultation
Whether you’re just beginning a weight loss journey or are looking to enhance your current weight loss results, the first step to receiving your fully customized treatment plan is scheduling a personal consultation with our nurse practitioner.
At your personal consultation, our nurse practitioner will perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine the best treatment method to help you achieve your ideal weight and figure.
During your consultation, we will determine whether or not our weight loss program is right for you. Once this has been established, our nurse practitioner will order lab work to help determine your baseline health and unique physical makeup (biometrics). These measurements are updated during your monthly visits, and your baseline labs will be performed again during your three-month visit.
Each treatment plan includes ongoing support from our Monarch team, as well as regular monitoring to ensure healthy progression.

The Cost of Medical Weight Loss in Kansas City
The cost of each weight management treatment can vary from patient to patient as each treatment plan is fully tailored to help patients reach their unique, individual goals. The cost of the treatment will be provided at each patient’s personal consultation, after which our specialists can determine the best weight management treatment plan.
We are currently partnered with the reputable financing company CareCredit to help our patients break the cost of their procedure up into affordable monthly payments. In addition, we also accept a wide variety of insurance plans for qualifying procedures.
