Peptide Therapy

Wellness Services are offered at our Leawood, KS location only

Peptide therapy is the use of naturally occurring amino acid chains to stimulate specific biological pathways. (1,2) These signaling molecules are already present in the body; they direct cell healing, regulate metabolism, support immune function, encourage collagen production, maintain hormonal stability, and more. As the body ages or experiences stress, its natural peptide levels may decline. Supplementing these peptides can help patients restore balance and optimize daily performance. The popularity of peptide therapy has grown significantly in recent years (3) and is associated with the following benefits:

  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Supported metabolism and weight management
  • Improved recovery after exercise
  • Enhanced skin quality and collagen support
  • Improved sleep and restfulness
  • Support for mood and mental clarity
  • Better overall hormonal balance
  • Targeted improvements without a synthetic stimulant

Ideal Candidates

Peptide-based treatments appeal to a wide range of candidates because of their many benefits and no-fuss approach. Ideal candidates often include those who:

  • Experience fatigue or low energy
  • Want additional support for weight loss
  • Seek enhanced recovery or physical performance support
  • Want to improve skin quality and visible signs of aging
  • Want to support hormone balance
  • Prefer non-surgical solutions

Patients are typically not recommended for peptide therapy if they:

  • Are pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Have active cancer
  • Have certain autoimmune diseases
  • Have cardiovascular issues
  • Have kidney/liver disease

Certain underlying conditions, including those listed above, may increase health risks; however, all patients are encouraged to attend a personal consultation during which they can find out more about their candidacy.

Treatment Process

Our peptides are meant to be administered via subcutaneous (SQ) injections, meaning they are injected just below the skin. At our office, our nurse practitioner will teach you how to administer the SQ injections yourself so that you can do so in the comfort of your own home. After this, all peptides will be conveniently delivered to your home for self-administration based on your protocol.

For IM in-office injections, we offer nutrient B12, Vitamin D, Tri-Immune, and Lipo-Mino.

Lifestyle Tips to Maximize Peptide Therapy

Aside from adhering to the guidelines of your treatment plan, paying attention to other areas of your life can help you optimize your results. We often recommend that our patients:

  1. Get Regular Exercise: Staying active will ensure you are physically strong and able to experience all of the full benefits of your peptide therapy. Exercise does not have to be boring—you can join a casual sports team, join a fitness class, or find something you enjoy that allows you to move daily for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Get Enough Sleep: If you are not sleeping enough, not only will you not feel your best, but your body will not be able to undergo internal recovery and repair efficiently. Aim for 7-9 hours each night.
  3. Lower Stress Levels: High stress levels can interfere with numerous bodily processes. To lower stress, you can practice mindfulness, meditation, and breathing exercises, and follow the other tips on this list.
  4. Stay Hydrated: Hydration is crucial for bodily processes to run smoothly and support cellular activity. Drink plenty of water and fluid during your treatment to support your peptide therapy.
  5. Eat Healthy: A balanced, nutrient-rich diet helps your body respond more effectively to peptide therapy. Focus on whole foods such as lean proteins, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables to support metabolism, tissue repair, and overall wellness.

Personal Consultation

Every peptide therapy plan begins with a one-on-one consultation at Monarch Plastics, Skin and Wellness. During this appointment, your wellness specialist will evaluate your medical history, current symptoms, and wellness priorities. This initial evaluation is a key step because personalized dosing and treatment selection ensure that your therapy aligns with your physiology and long-term goals.

Your specialist will review your lifestyle, nutritional habits, and any wellness treatments you have tried in the past. Because we offer medical weight loss, wellness injections, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, your specialist may recommend a blended approach tailored to you and your needs.

By the end of your consultation, you will have a personalized treatment plan outlining recommended peptide options, dosage, monitoring strategies, and follow-up requirements.

  • Wellness Injections: These injections can enhance energy, immune support, and internal balance. Integrating these treatments with peptide therapy helps create a more complete wellness plan.

FAQ

Are injections the only option for peptides?

At Monarch, peptides are offered via subcutaneous injection. Currently, we do not offer oral or topical peptides.

What are peptides?

Peptides are short amino acid chains that act as signaling molecules in the body. They guide important processes like metabolism, recovery, and cellular repair. Peptides continue to be studied for their therapeutic benefits.

How does peptide therapy work?

Peptide therapy supplements the body with targeted peptides that support specific internal functions such as energy, hormonal balance, or skin quality. For example, Sermorelin and CJC/Ipamorelin stimulate the release of the body’s naturally-occurring growth hormone to enhance muscle growth, sleep quality, recovery, and more.

How long does it take to see results with peptide therapy?

Most patients notice improvements after several weeks of consistent treatment. The exact timeline varies depending on each patient’s treatment plan and wellness goals.

Can I combine peptide therapy with other treatments?

Yes. Many patients combine peptide therapy with medical weight loss, wellness injections, or hormone replacement therapy for more comprehensive benefits.

How long will I need to receive peptide therapy?

Treatment length varies from patient to patient. Some individuals use peptides short-term, while others incorporate them into a long-term wellness plan.
