Front Desk Receptionist
Role Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role involves managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, processing administrative tasks, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations within the medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients, verify personal and insurance information, and assist with necessary forms.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments, coordinating with medical staff to optimize scheduling.
- Communication: Answer phone calls, direct inquiries to appropriate staff, and relay messages accurately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Billing Support: Collect co-pays, process payments, and assist with billing inquiries.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, manage office supplies, and perform general clerical duties.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and office operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in office software and medical management systems; strong organizational and multitasking abilities; excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial.

Thursdays 8:30am – 5:00pm
