Renuvion

Whether due to weight loss, aesthetic procedures or the simple changes of aging, loosening skin is a common occurrence for most people. While there are surgical procedures to address this, these treatments usually involve extensive downtime and unseemly scarring. Bringing an innovative minimally invasive technology into the picture, Renuvion is changing the game when it comes to skin tightening procedures. Bid farewell to sagging, loose skin and welcome a smoother, more youthful look!

What is Renuvion?

Using a proprietary blend of helium plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy, Renuvion is state-of-the-art new technology in electrosurgery, allowing precise nonsurgical skin tightening. This technology allows the surgeon to target specific areas for skin tightening with minimal damage to surrounding tissue. Renuvion can be used for skin tightening in almost any area, including the abdomen, neck, arms, flanks, backs, thighs and use with tummy tucks.

How does it work?

In the simplest terms, Renuvion applies controlled heat to the tissue to create a rapid contraction effect. In order to do this, the device is inserted just under the skin and releases a mixture of helium gas charged with radiofrequency (RF) energy. This produces a precise flow of energy that works to contract the tissue just under the skin. While the heat from this energy contracts the targeted tissue area, excess helium gas cools the treatment area, and the surrounding tissue remains much cooler, prompting rapid cooling to reduce the risk of damage to targeted and surrounding tissue. At the same time, the natural wound healing process stimulates further skin tightening.

What are the benefits of Renuvion?

Precision and control is the name of the game for Renuvion. Because of the exact, targeted nature of the energy stream, the surgeon has greater control, producing a more refined procedure and results. In addition, the procedure is gentle on the tissue, and the precision reduces the risk of damage to surrounding tissue. Best of all, with Renuvion there is no invasive surgery, unseemly scarring, or extensive downtime after the procedure.

What can I expect after the procedure?

Unlike typical surgical procedures, side effects and downtime are minimal after Renuvion. Mild swelling and bruising can occur and typically lasts five to seven days, though patients can usually resume their everyday activities two to three days after the treatment. Contraction and tightening effects are visible immediately; however, results may also increase with time — the energy of the procedure also stimulates collagen production for continued skin tightening over the next few months.
