A fourth generation Kansas Citian, Dr. Bortnick attended Pembroke Country Day
School followed immediately by a combined BA-MD degree at the University of
Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Bortnick then completed a five year General Surgery
residency at the University of Kansas, including a one year post doctoral
fellowship in Molecular Genetics & Microbiology. He then completed a two year
plastic surgery residency at the University of Georgia, Medical College, Augusta,
Georgia.
Dr. Bortnick has particular interests in all areas of Cosmetic Surgery and has
developed a reputation as a local and regional expert. He stresses safety,
technology and control in the operating room and through preoperative patient
education.
